How it works:

- Payments are made through a PayPal portal.
- Attendance will be taken throughout the course. You must be present from beginning to end with your camera turned on, as required by state distance learning rules.

| Experience | Professional full-time home inspector since 2001 Founded Aberdeen Building Consulting, Inc. in 2005. ASHI-certified inspector (ACI) since 2004 and past president of local ASHI chapter Commercial building consultant developing Property Condition Assessments for all types of commercial buildings, including apartment buildings, retail / office buildings, warehouse / industrial buildings, churches, schools, etc. Certified HERS (Home Energy Rating System) Rater, providing energy modeling and code compliance oversight to energy efficiency / performance aspects of new residential construction Indoor air quality (IAQ) consultant and state-licensed Mold Assessor. This type of consulting requires in-depth understanding of the various types of indoor air contaminants, their effects, and the pathways they may follow through a building, as well as methods for mitigation, elimination, and prevention of air quality issues. Since the HVAC system is very often at the heart of IAQ problems, detailed knowledge of how these systems work and malfunction is essential. Level I Infrared (IR) Thermographer. Infrared technology offers many opportunities to building diagnosticians, such as: finding water leaks where no staining is visible, revealing overheating wiring in an electrical panel, evaluating performance of heating and cooling equipment, and pinpointing air leaks in buildings.
